Whatever may be said about Coventry, the people were the friendliest. It seems to me that Coventry got a bum rap, but what do I know? I only spent a few hours outside of Warwick University, where the conference was held. That conference was work; when we finished each day I just wanted to sleep, and I stayed in a dorm room that made the Jester dorms at UT look large and even slightly luxurious. (Maybe I was sent to Coventry?!)
I don't think I've ever been to Coventry, which surprises me as it's not too far from where I lived in England. But I do know that the size of rooms in Halls across the UK are drastically smaller and less luxurious than ANY in the USA! Seriously, close your eyes and don't compare!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is because of your outlook...
ReplyDeletego and expect to be amazed by cool things, and you will be! :-)
That is how we Texas gals roll!
Is the picture of Coventry or Warwick? I thought Coventry was just a big block of grey concrete (war damage), but if that's Coventry then I have to adjust my attitude!
ReplyDelete@Kelli--Amen,sister! :)
ReplyDelete@Tom--that was Coventry! I forgot to take photos at the university :/
I forgot to mention that the food was fabulous!
