...but it's already October 1, and who knows how many more days with temperatures over 70°F we'll have? So, I celebrated the sun the same way so many Germans do: with ice cream. Not just a scoop or two, either. I had
Spaghetti Eis: vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce, and coconut shavings on top.

| I didn't eat the whole thing. Honest. :) |
OH MY GOSHHH I TOOK A PICTURE OF THIS A COUPLE DAYS AGO! The eis menus all around crack me up and this is at the top of my laughs. Was it actually good?
ReplyDeleteThat looks tasty. Don't worry, I wouldn't blame you if you ate the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteOk I have heard about this so many times but NEVER SEEN IT! So thanks!
ReplyDeleteNow it actually looks like something I want to try!!
I love Spaghetti Eis! I used to have it all the time growing up - and we each had our own, so you should have finished it ;) Isn't it delicious? Did you say yours had coconut shavings though? It usually is white chocolate. Hmmm, now I really want some!
ReplyDeleteLiving here since 2009, I only just learned about this in the past few months from a German friend. What a funny thing!
ReplyDeleteNext time try lasagne eis!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny as a German Girl to see Germany through your Eyes...I love it....
ReplyDeleteThank you...
Sonja
@Alex--it was really good! I wasn't sure if I would even like it, 'cause I am not crazy about strawberry-flavored stuff, but it was good!
ReplyDelete@Jennifer-- :-)
@Kelli--this one is just the beginning! Germans take pride in their ice cream!
@Sabrina--there were little white chocolate balls in the Eis...I guess they were supposed to be white meatballs?!
@shoegirl--it can be a DANGEROUS thing! ;)
@German Gems--That's funny that you should mention that...I had a hard time deciding between the two. Next time I will!
@Sonja--thanks, Sonja! I'm glad you like it! :-)
Looks YUMMY!
